Torrent Darts League 2026/27

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. All teams must have their toe to oche for 8.45pm sharp! All draws to be made by 8.30.pm. After 15 minutes grace, the home team can claim a game every 15 minutes up until 9.30, after which all points will be theirs.

**All games are best of 5. Points available are 6 points for the singles and 3 points for the doubles so ALL games count**

This year all home teams will be able to choose if they play the doubles first or the singles.

2. Games must only be postponed in the event of a Bereavement OR extreme weather...If the committee deems it unsafe for any players to travel to games by 2pm on match day, ALL fixtures will be postponed for that week.

This year there will be a date set aside (Date TBC) to play any games that need to be called off due to bereavement as it was felt 1 week was too much pressure for the said player/family.

Should a team's home venue be unavailable to host a fixture, this game must then be played in the “away” teams' venue. At NO stage is it allowed to play for 9 points to make up for fulfilling a fixture.

IF ANY TEAM MISSES 2 FIXTURES DURING THE SEASON WITHOUT GOOD REASON, COMMITTEE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN. SHOULD A TEAM MISS 3 FIXTURES, THEY WILL BE DISMISSED FROM THE LEAGUE FOR THE DURATION OF THE SEASON AND THEIR £50 BOND WILL BE VOIDED.

3. Teams can add names onto their registered player list up until the end Christmas break. Anyone throwing after this point that is not registered will be classed as ineligible. The team will then lose those points. If a team continues to play ineligible players, committee action will be taken.

4. Players can be registered for any and all teams, however, the team a player throws for first is where they must remain for the league's duration. If found to be playing for a different team, they will be classed as ineligible, and the above rule will be applied.

**The only exception to this rule is that (when relevant) a lower league player can move UP to a higher league team, but if this happens, they then must remain there for the duration**

5. NO player can play in two different leagues if they are played on the same night of the week.

6. If any team or player has any issues they wish to discuss, they must be brought to the attention of the committee via their team/bar representative. Social media pages are for information sharing ONLY!

**ANYONE SEEN TO BEING ABUSIVE TO ANY MEMBER OF THE LEAGUE OR COMMITTEE VIA SOCIAL MEDIA, WILL BE BLOCKED AND WILL RECEIVE A 1 MONTH GAME BAN**

7. All players throwing in the league must throw a minimum of 4 league games to be eligible for the individual's tournament AND finals night. This can include either singles or doubles games.

*NO Professional players are eligible to thrown in the 3-A-Sides tournament*

8. All teams are asked to support ALL tournaments and enter at least one team. If they do not, the bar will NOT be eligible to host any tournaments/competitions or playoffs. This will also void the team's £50 bond.

9. ALL throwers must be respectful to one another ALWAYS.

ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR (PHYSICAL OR VERBAL) OR BAD SPORTMANSHIP, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

10. Scorecards must be filled in clearly with full names and all high scores noted on the back of the card. All bar reps or team captains must then sign and send a CLEAR photo of both sides of the card to the WhatsApp group by 12pm on Saturday.

!! IF THE RESULTS ARE NOT POSTED ON TIME BY THE HOST TEAM EACH WEEK, THEY WILL BE DEDUCTED 1 POINT. !!

**When doing the draw, ALL draws must be drawn out randomly for BOTH the singles and doubles**

11. ALL general committee members from each team (or a stand in) should attend committee meetings to ensure any important issues are heard and discussed and information can be passed on to other players easily
